Chicago Fall Bucket List
Fall is officially in full swing and its time to get into all the festivities Chicago has to offer. From on A&W Babe to another, here is the Fall Bucket List 2019.
1 . Chicago Humanities Festival
It’s the 30th annual Chicago Humanities Festival and the theme this year is “Power”. With guest speakers like Julia Louis Dreyfus and Ta-Nehisi Coates, it’s going to be a wild and interesting time. Spread over two weeks at various venues, you can hear these speakers on a variety of topics just about any day between October 26th and November 10th.
2 . Chicago Turkey Trot
It always feels good to earn that Thanksgiving meal, amirght? There are many ways to work up that appetite, but an easy and fun way is to get the gang together for the annual Turkey Trot! Whether its the 5 or 8k, come down to Lincoln Park on Thanksgiving day to run like a turkey with its head cut off.
3 . Taste of Donuts
Did someone say apple cider donuts? They are the most addictive and arguably the most Chicago fall food there is! And at Morgan’s on Fulton, there will be 15 donut vendors with all types of yummy fall donuts for you to try. Head over to the West Loop on November 2nd if this sounds like a sweet time. Okay, we’ll stop.
4 . Chriskindlmarket
It’s never too early to get into the holiday spirit and what’s more spirited than fairy lights, fresh holiday pastries, and hot chocolate? Christkindlmarket has it all and more for you to start feeling holly and jolly as early as November 15th in the Loop.
5 . Magnificent Mile Lights Festival
On November 22nd and 23rd, Michigan Ave will have all sorts of family friendly activities to mark the beginning of winter and the holiday season. Keep an eye out, though, because Magnificent Mile storefront will have special offers for shoppers on the 23rd (and who doesn’t love a good sale?) and you can finish off the day with a fireworks display over the Chicago river!
